Dogs from the Crystal Drive case were moved to Jackson County Animal Shelter on Jan.

10 to receive care amid rising shelter demands; only a few owners formally surrendered their pets, so a court process must occur before more dogs are adoptable (donations by cash are accepted, not supplies).

Medford City Council approved an ordinance to create an Economic Improvement District to boost downtown business and announced a storefront activation program to fill empty shops.

A public hearing is set for mid-February (with Reimagine Tours planned for Jan. 29, Feb. 24, and April 9) for community input.
