GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Medford’s busiest fire station is undergoing a major transformation to add more capacity and modern safety features, including fast-opening bay doors (the project runs until fall) as firefighters work from a temporary mobile home. The $9.5 million effort meets growing community needs amid rising call volumes.  KDRV
  • The Jackson County Library District Board of Directors unanimously extended Kari May's paid administrative leave until 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4 — a decision made amid reports of inappropriate content viewed at the Talent branch, with May attending the meeting without comment.  KOBI-TV
