- ➤ Roseburg Forest Products announced yesterday that it will cut 146 jobs at its Riddle Plywood facility as it shifts specialty plywood production to its Coquille plant — affected workers will receive 60 days compensation with continued healthcare. The workforce board plans on-site resource sessions for displaced employees the week of Feb. 16. KOBI-TV
- ➤ Medford's recreational facilities delivered strong returns in 2025 when Rogue X and Lithia & Driveway Fields generated a combined $23M in economic impact by drawing regional visitors who increased hotel stays, restaurant traffic & local jobs. - ➤ Ashland City Council and Rogue Valley leaders are urging state action to provide $15 million emergency funds for Southern Oregon University (facing a $4 million shortfall by fiscal year end) to help prevent job losses and reduced education access. KDRV
- ➤ The Jackson County Library District Board voted Wednesday night to enter a termination without cause agreement with Library Director Kari May after reports of inappropriate content led to her leave — board members also approved an independent HR review and plan to name an interim director. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Southern Oregon Cardiology and Asante have extended their long-term partnership to expand cardiac care at Rogue Regional Medical Center. The project includes new cath labs, a Cardiovascular Recovery Unit and advanced cardiac MRI technology—expected by fall—and is supported by a $2.5 million donation drive. KDRV

- ➤ Two Cascade Christian seniors will run a basketball camp on February 8th at Grace Christian School gymnasium for boys and girls in grades 4-8, with $50 registration (free T-shirt included). Thirty percent of proceeds will support Everleigh, a local youth battling leukemia. KDRV
