- ➤ A man on transitional leave from prison was arrested late Thursday night after he drove erratically, eluded police, and crashed his car in an east Medford neighborhood — officers later said his blood alcohol level was .14. KOBI-TV
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ City officials approved a new 50-foot mural for downtown Medford as part of a collaboration between the Rogue Valley Art Association and Medford Parks and Recreation. Local artist Ryan Moon will prep the north wall of the Rogue Gallery and Art Center next month — the work will take several weeks to complete. KOBI-TV
- ➤ Britt Music — Arts Festival in Medford announced its second round of summer pavilion acts including Wynonna Judd, Natasha Bedingfield, Gin Blossoms with Spin Doctors and a first-time performance by Mariachi Sol De México de José Hernández. Tickets will be available to members Friday and to the general public on March 28 while the next round of performances is set to be announced in mid-April. KOBI-TV

- ➤ The Oregon House advanced House Bill 2682—aimed at improving early intervention and special education for young children with disabilities. The bill directs the Oregon Department of Education to update guidance so that services can better meet these needs. Rogue River Press

- ➤ Rogue Valley Street Dogs — a Talent non-profit focused on improving the lives of pets affected by poverty — received the Veterinary Service Award from the Oregon Veterinary Medical Association.
