- ➤ A group of locals will begin a 157-mile rowing journey on the Rogue River on April 25 to raise funds for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy research—facing challenges like cold water and rapids on a nonstop 36-hour route from Lost Creek Lake Dam to Gold Beach. They already raised $100,000 and plan to collect sponsorships for each mile to meet an $800,000 goal by May 1. KOBI-TV
