Ashland Ski Area is launching a new mobile app today that works on iOS and Android — it gives users real-time updates on weather, terrain, and operating schedules while enabling mobile food orders and lift ticket purchases. The resort is offering a Spring Season Pass Sale from April 1 to April 30 that offers up to $200 off passes and 25% off daily lift tickets for first-time buyers — it also extends the season with bonus weekends on April 19-20 and April 26-27. - ➤ 39 year old Joshua Robert Miller was sentenced to 20 years in prison for a shooting that fatally injured Duane Roork and Shane Roork at a Rogue River hemp farm on November 4th — he pleaded guilty to two counts of first degree manslaughter and two counts of second degree abuse of a corpse. KDRV
- ➤ A Rogue River man pleaded guilty to manslaughter and abusing a corpse after fatally shooting Shane Roork and Duane Roork on November 4th and was sentenced to 20 years in prison with three years of post-prison supervision (he must also pay funeral expenses). MedfordAlert

- ➤ The Oregon Cheese Festival will return to the Jackson County Expo in Central Point on April 26 and 27—featuring artisan cheesemakers, vintners, brewers and specialty food producers. Advance tickets start at $25 for Saturday with age restrictions while Sunday welcomes all ages. KDRV

- ➤ Oregon lawmakers are pushing ahead with House Bill 2251 to limit cell phone use in schools—allowing phones only at lunch and recess during class time. The bill exempts students with learning disabilities and a work session is set for April 9. KDRV
