- ➤ Over 1,000 protesters gathered today along the sidewalks from Biddle Road and East Jackson Street to Crater Lake Avenue to protest federal funding cuts, changes to social security, Medicaid and education. Volunteer organizer Eric Lindquist said the protest will continue until officials listen—hundreds in Grants Pass also joined the national day of action. KOBI-TV

- ➤ A driver lost control of a speeding minivan while trying to pass another car on McAndrews Road and crashed into the Prins Dental building at 2:30 p.m. on April 5th — he was taken to the hospital in stable condition as police continue their investigation. KDRV

- ➤ Today, thousands joined two protests in Medford as people gathered at Hawthorne Park and Vogel Plaza to challenge federal government cuts and policies. Nearly 4,000 attended the rally at Hawthorne Park while several hundred gathered at Vogel Plaza as part of a national movement with over 1,200 events. KDRV

- ➤ Bentley, a calm and smart 1-year, 10-month German Shepherd, is available for adoption at the Jackson County Animal Shelter, and shelter staff advise a meet-and-greet for owners with dogs since she is not suited for homes with small animals (chickens).
