- ➤ On April 12, the 72-year Pear Blossom Parade drew 4,500 spectators along sidewalks from Clark Street to West Main Street as 150 floats—both new and returning—were scored on theme and appearance. KOBI-TV
- ➤ Medford's Railroad Park opened for the season with over 1,000 visitors during the opening weekend (managed by four train clubs) and offered rides, a museum, and a garden Railway; it will welcome guests every second and fourth Sunday from April to October. KOBI-TV
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ The Native America Student Union of Southern Oregon University hosted its annual pow wow at Lithia Motors Pavilion this weekend — drawing over 1000 visitors to enjoy traditional dances, music, and a small market celebrating Native American culture. - ➤ Yesterday, 3,000 runners took part in the Pear Blossom Run 2026 at Oakdale and West 8th by the Southern Oregon Children’s Museum, racing a 5k, 1-mile fun run, 2-mile fun run and 10-mile course.
