On April 12, the 72-year Pear Blossom Parade drew 4,500 spectators along sidewalks from Clark Street to West Main Street as 150 floats—both new and returning—were scored on theme and appearance.

Medford's Railroad Park opened for the season with over 1,000 visitors during the opening weekend (managed by four train clubs) and offered rides, a museum, and a garden Railway; it will welcome guests every second and fourth Sunday from April to October.

The Native America Student Union of Southern Oregon University hosted its annual pow wow at Lithia Motors Pavilion this weekend — drawing over 1000 visitors to enjoy traditional dances, music, and a small market celebrating Native American culture.

Student leaders emphasized community spirit and cultural pride.

Yesterday, 3,000 runners took part in the Pear Blossom Run 2026 at Oakdale and West 8th by the Southern Oregon Children’s Museum, racing a 5k, 1-mile fun run, 2-mile fun run and 10-mile course.

The 50th-year YMCA fundraiser featured a mid-run hill near Hanley Farms and awarded medals and drinks.
