COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Twenty-seven soldiers from the Medford Armory of the Oregon Army National Guard worked with Southern Oregon University ROTC cadets and Medford Parks & Recreation to restore veteran headstones at the historic I.O.O.F. Eastwood Cemetery on April 13th. The group removed moss and overgrown weeds from the grave markers to preserve local veterans' resting places.  MedfordAlert
  • Medford Railroad Park opened today with a large crowd riding trains and viewing the museum to learn about local railroad history after repairs fixed three tracks damaged by a fallen tree limb earlier this year. The park is open on the second plus fourth Sunday of each month through October with free admission and welcomes donations.  KOBI-TV

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Community members and fire officials gathered in North Medford on Thursday to break ground on the new Fire Station 15 on Roberts Road. The station will replace the outdated building from 1975 and bring better support for the fire department’s health—safety and training needs.  KOBI-TV
