- ➤ On Monday—Oregon State Police and the Oregon National Guard safely detonated an old military device found on a Sams Valley property after a local resident sent photos and videos of Jackson County Fire District 3 and responders at the scene. KDRV
- ➤ Fire crews in Josephine County contained a fire that started in a small well house and spread to nearby grass at the end of Cienaga Lane yesterday — the cause remains unknown, and RMF reminds the public to remain cautious as weather warms. KOBI-TV

- ➤ On April 3, MADGE executed a search warrant at a residence on Ponderosa Way in Eagle Point following a two-month investigation into cocaine distribution—arresting two residents and seizing over 100 grams of cocaine, eight firearms, about $48,000 in cash, four vehicles and one motorcycle—officials said. - ➤ Eagle Point police, working with the Medford Area Drug and Gang Enforcement team, arrested two suspects after a two-month investigation sparked by community tips and seized eight firearms — more than 100 grams of cocaine, nearly $48,000 in cash, four vehicles and one motorcycle. KDRV

- ➤ The Rogue Valley Transportation District warned it will lose 20% of its routes and 81 jobs if transit funding does not increase by July 2026 — General Manager Julie Brown said the agency is already cutting budget items and will work with the community to decide which routes to keep. KOBI-TV

- ➤ AllCare Health awarded $25K to Asante to support the planned expansion of The Family House in Grants Pass—doubling guest room capacity from seven to 14 and adding three RV spaces so patients traveling to Three Rivers Medical Center have more lodging options.
