EDUCATION NEWS

  • Early construction began on rebuilding the gymnasium at North Medford High School following the roof collapse, with crews having removed the old concrete slab during spring break (final building permit expected mid-May). The gym’s framework is set for next school year and full completion is planned for late fall 2027.  MedfordAlert
  • The Southern Oregon Children’s Museum received $1.5 million in support from the Medford Urban Renewal Agency Tuesday morning for its expansion in the former Mail Tribune building downtown — the project will add nine preschool classrooms, therapy and sensory rooms, a workforce training space, and more, with plans to welcome families in about a year.  KOBI-TV
