Volunteers spent over 140 hours in March cleaning local parks and Eastwood Cemetery and removed nearly 1,400 pounds of trash.

Efforts at Pear Blossom, Jackson, Donahue-Frohnmayer, Veterans and Hawthorne Parks cleared debris and graffiti—restoring community spaces.

The southbound I-5 on-ramp at Exit 148, Rice Hill, will close on Monday, May 5 for bridge repair work and will reopen before Memorial Day weekend.

Drivers must follow a four-mile detour (available for use) during the closure.

Medford hosted its first Council Town Hall on April 30 at the Police Headquarters to help residents learn about emergency kits, evacuation zones, and other preparedness steps as councilors and the mayor discussed fire season and wildfire mitigation — the next town hall will be held on May 15 at the Smullin Health Education Center.
