Good morning, Medford.

Stephen McCandless, who has led the Craterian Theater since its renovation in the mid 1990s, will retire this fall.

A national search for his successor will begin to bring fresh leadership and energy to the historic venue in Medford.

SOU students, faculty, alumni and local business owners will host a town hall today from 6 to 9 p.m. at Medford Public Library to discuss the university’s future — organizers plan additional letter-writing campaigns amid concerns over rapid restructuring and program cuts as Gov. Tina Kotek has been invited.
