- ➤ Late last week, responders rescued two large Great Pyrenees dogs—Moses and Fin—from Vulcan Lake Trail in Kalmiopsis Wilderness Area after they became exhausted, dehydrated, and injured; the dogs were carried on a plastic sled and wheeled cart and are now back with their owner with a full recovery expected. - ➤ Firefighters knocked down a blaze Wednesday morning in a Medford residential building that formerly operated as a Ramada Inn and was later converted into long-term housing for survivors of the 2020 Almeda Fire — no injuries were reported as crews conducted overhaul operations, began investigating the cause, and Fortify Holdings prepares to update the mostly empty complex. - ➤ Multiple Medford Fire crews responded Thursday morning at 10:47 a.m. to a structure fire at a low-income apartment complex on the 2200 block of Biddle Road — between Morrow Road and Crater Lake Highway — and worked to contain the blaze while urging residents to use alternate routes. - ➤ A truck crashed into a medical office building last Friday near the Asante campus, injuring a 56-year-old employee and the driver, 43-year-old Phillip John Hill—who is now facing DUII, assault, reckless endangerment, and reckless driving charges. KOBI-TV

- ➤ The Rogue Valley Symphony is hosting its 12th annual Link Up program today, where 3rd- to 5th-grade students learn songs, dances, and instruments before performing alongside local professional musicians—an event that builds both music skills and teamwork.
