- ➤ South Medford High School Key Club awarded three $2,500 grants Wednesday from the PGE Foundation, Oregon Community Foundation’s Community 101 program & NBC5’s Patsy Smullin. The grants went to Hearts with a Mission, Rogue Valley Mentoring & United Way; advisors Annika Skidmore and Catlin Shelton plan to keep giving back. KOBI-TV
- ➤ Amanda Linnehan of Rogue Community Cat Rescue will launch a spay and neuter van in Ashland to help control a feral cat crisis after the 2020 Almeda Fires. The volunteer-run unit will have two doctors working simultaneously in dedicated surgery and recovery spaces. KDRV

- ➤ Mercy Flights and local emergency teams were honored at the Oregon Fire Chiefs Association Meritorious Awards Ceremony in Sunriver, where they received a Unit Citation Award for exceptional teamwork during a complex rescue operation. Rogue River Press

- ➤ The Oregon Nurses Association supports a new bill (Nursing is a Professional Degree Act) that would raise federal loan limits for post-baccalaureate nursing students, allowing them to borrow up to $50,000 a year and $200,000 in total to help cover their education. KOBI-TV
- ➤ The Medford Municipal Court will waive civil wedding ceremony fees in June, offering couples free weddings by appointment at City Hall. Couples must have a valid Oregon marriage license and book early as slots are limited. MedfordAlert
