ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Multiple fire units are fighting a 3 to 4 acre vegetation fire near Houston Road in Jackson County + officials issued a Level 2 evacuation order, and residents and travelers are urged to avoid the area + until crews have cleared the site. MedfordAlert
- ➤ Earlier today, Jackson County District 3 responded to a vegetation fire at 3939 Willow Springs Road in Central Point when a welding metal fence post ignited about a quarter acre of vegetation—units quickly arrived and extinguished the fire with no injuries reported. KDRV
- ➤ Multiple units are en route to a 2-3 acre vegetation fire near Dano Road in Phoenix—no evacuations have been ordered while crews work to contain the fire. KDRV
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Police arrested an armed man on I-5 near Phoenix at 5:56 p.m. on June 6 after he pointed a firearm at vehicles, discharged a round that struck the ground, and resisted arrest—he was then transported to a hospital for evaluation. MedfordAlert
