- ➤ Howard School Park reopened after nearly a year of construction, offering northwest Medford residents new amenities such as a splash pad, enclosed dog run, walking path, basketball and pickleball courts, and interactive playground equipment like Sona and Memo. The 9.2-acre park, funded by local grants and the American Rescue Plan Act, serves about 871 households and held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 26. MedfordAlert

- ➤ The Britt Music and Arts Festival launched its kids’ concert season at the Children’s Museum of Southern Oregon on June 28 with a lively performance by Portland-based band Ants, Ants, Ants. - ➤ Jackson Care Connect was honored with the Excellence in EMS Integration Award during a virtual ceremony last week. The award recognized its work with Mercy Flights to bring home health care focused on behavioral health support—chronic disease monitoring and 911 call follow-ups—to high-risk, underserved populations.
