  • Crews responded to the Briggs Valley Fire that burned along U.S. Route 199 at milepost 16.39 near Hayes Hill, four miles north of Selma, causing lane closures and travel delays—officials urged drivers to use extreme caution as they continued to monitor the two-acre fire.
