- ➤ Dogs for Better Lives is training service dogs with help from Angel Flights — volunteer pilots who fly puppies to its center in Central Point. The nonprofit spends five days with each client to help the dogs learn basic commands and specialized skills — matching them to those in need. KDRV

- ➤ A man was seriously injured after being hit by a car near Albertsons in West Medford at around 4:15 p.m. on Thursday, and he was taken to a local hospital while the STAR team began investigating the incident. KOBI-TV

- ➤ Rogue Valley’s wine region was named second in the nation by USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, Travel Medford announced Wednesday. - ➤ Officials announced that the Bye Bye Mattress program has expanded with five collection sites across Southern Oregon to recycle unwanted mattresses and box springs—recycling is free at each location. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Kairos Northwest celebrated a $3.2M renovation and expansion of its outpatient mental health facility on Thursday at East Main and Crater Lake Avenue—attended by Medford Chamber members and the public.
