- ➤ On Saturday, Rogue Valley Mall hosted the 33rd annual Southern Oregon Kids Spree in partnership with JCPenney where 181 kids from local schools got help with back-to-school shopping. - ➤ Jackson County Sheriff's Office confirmed that a missing rafter, 27-year-old Justice Hamilton of Medford, was located alive just past Dodge Bridge Park by Fire District 4 at the Takelma boat ramp after spending 24 hours stranded outdoors, and he is now recovering at home—officials remind boaters to use proper safety measures as temperatures rise. - ➤ Les Schwab Tire Center opened today at 8177 Plaza Way in White City and worked with ACCESS to give new tires to a GMC Savana—used to deliver food boxes to seniors and supplies to local food pantries. This opening makes it the company's fifth location in our area. KOBI-TV

- ➤ The Jackson County Sheriff's Office is searching for 27-year-old Medford man Justice Gregory Hamilton, who was last seen floating the Rogue River near Eagle Point on Aug. 10 at around 4 p.m. He was riding an inner tube with companions, is described as 5-foot-10 and 160 pounds with brown hair and fair skin, and anyone with information should call the Emergency Communications of Southern Oregon non-emergency line at 541-776-7206 and reference case 25-4251. - ➤ The Oregon State Police Fish and Wildlife Division is no longer asking for help after two individuals, seen riding motorcycles with a German Shepherd—linked to vandalizing a trail camera and stealing salmon from Cole Rivers Fish Hatchery in Trail—came forward and were cleared by investigators following sightings on August 12, August 27, and July 5. - ➤ On Monday, Talent Middle School and Phoenix High School staff worked with first responders to practice their student reunification process in case of an emergency at Phoenix-Talent School District. Officers counted injuries and verified sign-offs so students could be safely reunited with their guardians — the drill prepared the district for a real crisis. KOBI-TV

- ➤ Today, Jackson and Josephine counties face an extreme fire danger level announced by the Oregon Department of Forestry that covers 1.8 million acres and imposes restrictions on power saw use and mowing dry grass; a fire weather watch remains in effect with temperatures expected to reach 110 degrees—residents are urged to follow all fire safety guidelines.
