- ➤ Central Point approved a new ordinance that limits consumer fireworks to July 3rd and 4th (8 p.m. to midnight) and bans them in high-risk areas such as Bear Creek Greenway, parks, schools, city hall, and the police department; violators face fines up to $500. - ➤ Senator Ron Wyden visited Medford today to discuss a transformative expansion plan for Rogue Valley International Airport—an effort that will use nearly $7 million in federal grants to boost connectivity and economic strength. - ➤ On Monday, Rogue Valley International Medford Airport celebrated completing airfield upgrades with new taxiways and apron expansion funded by almost $7 million in federal grant money from Senators Wyden and Merkley — officials noted record summer traffic.
