- ➤ Gold Hill will use more than $6 million from the U.S. Department of Agriculture to upgrade its failing wastewater system by connecting residents to the regional sewer system run by Rogue Valley Sewer Services. City officials plan to abandon the old treatment plant and build a pump station with an 8-mile pipeline—avoiding a roughly $150 rate increase—while they complete final designs and new construction.
