  • Today, the Oregon Department of Human Services warned that new federal changes under House Resolution 1 will affect 313,000 SNAP recipients by reducing benefits automatically—impacts include utility assistance households losing up to $58 in monthly support, ABAWD participants facing new work rules, and non-citizens losing eligibility. Notices will be mailed starting Oct. 15 and some changes will begin Nov. 1, urging affected families to review local food resources.  MedfordAlert
