- ➤ La Clinica’s new standalone community pharmacy opened Wednesday at 616 Market Street, nearly doubling its capacity to fill prescriptions and improve access for Medford patients—its Phoenix Health Center pharmacy will continue regular service. KOBI-TV
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Today, city and regional leaders celebrated the $78M upgrade at the Robert A. Duff Water Treatment Plant on Table Rock Road—boosting capacity from 45 to 65 million gallons per day with new filtration, reservoir and pump systems designed to ensure safe water during emergencies. Officials say the project will meet Medford's growing water needs for decades to come. KOBI-TV
- ➤ USDA Rural Development Oregon State Director Jim Carmack announced today that a $6,487,000 loan and grant—meant to improve local sewer infrastructure—will be awarded to Rogue Valley Sewer Services in Gold Hill. Rogue River Press
- ➤ Medford City Council will review restrictions for new car wash locations in the downtown area as part of its plan to shape city growth. Councilor Kevin Stine said the review will help avoid demolition if a car wash fails — talks will begin in 2026. KOBI-TV
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Medford’s fourth annual Walk for Hope will take place Saturday, October 4 as a 1.5-mile walk around Rogue Regional Medical Center to honor cancer survivors, caregivers, and those who have passed. Event check-in begins at 9:30 a.m., followed by an opening ceremony at 11 a.m. and a finish line festival until 1 p.m. — $850,000 has already been raised to support cancer care at the Asante hospital system.
