- ➤ Medford will host the third annual Luxe Community Market on Saturday, October 11 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Family Nurturing Center’s Main Street Family Campus. The event features about 30 local businesses and includes a diaper drive—vital to help families manage high monthly diaper costs—and family fun activities. KOBI-TV
- ➤ Medford Fire Station 16 opened its doors to families and residents during fire prevention week to teach about safe lithium ion battery use and fire hazards from cooking and heating. Visitors also got hands-on experiences — including trying on firefighter gear and sitting in a fire engine driver's seat — to learn more about the station's vital role. KDRV

- ➤ A new glass art installation titled 'Watershed' by Portland-based artist Sumi Wu has been unveiled at the renovated Oregon State Police facility in Central Point — the piece reflects the natural textures of the Rogue River Basin with seven glass waterfalls echoing nature's elements and is part of Oregon’s 50 for 50 public art series. - ➤ The Pollinator Project Rogue Valley urges residents to plant native species in fall so that roots can grow deep with rain—cutting the need for extra irrigation. - ➤ Medford officials and the Eugene Emeralds are backing the Creekside Quarter project, set for a Nov. 4 vote as Measure 15-238, to include housing, business space, and a possible stadium for the team.
