- ➤ Fire crews from the High Cascades Ranger District fought three fires that ignited overnight north of Prospect along Crater Lake Highway—Landing Fire burned just under two acres, North Fire burned about three-quarters of an acre, and Bend Fire stayed small as rain and cool temperatures kept the flames in check while investigators ask anyone who saw unusual activity on Oct 8 to contact authorities. - ➤ Today, operations at Rogue Valley International—Medford Airport remain on schedule amid a federal government shutdown that has led to staff shortages nationwide. Airport Director Amber Judd confirmed the airport has not experienced any delays and expects no issues ahead. KOBI-TV
- ➤ Today, Rogue Workforce Partnership confirmed it is losing its CEO Heather Stafford and CFO Matt Fadich due to unspecified allegations—contracts were not renewed and terminations issued—while it hires legal counsel and an outside investigator. KOBI-TV
