- ➤ Band founder Travis Snyder and Community Works executive director Barbara Johnson previewed Epic Era: Rock ’n’ Roll Unhinged on Sunrise to promote a one-night benefit concert that will support Community Works. - ➤ Alaska Airlines grounded all flights nationwide on Thursday evening due to an IT outage that disrupted operations, and five flights were still scheduled at Medford Airport. - ➤ The Josephine County Foundation awarded over $51k in grants to 35 school programs in its 12th year to support classroom and extracurricular activities across more than 15 schools. Local students voted on 47 proposals—totaling $84,872—and the program has funded 274 projects since 2014. KDRV

- ➤ A restoration project reconnecting Blue Heron and Bear Creek has led Chinook salmon—long unseen in decades—to return and spawn after the Klamath River dams were removed. - ➤ Conservationists confirmed the presence of Giant Reed in Southern Oregon waterways—this invasive plant can grow 4 inches per day and reach 25 feet—and are using targeted aquatic herbicide along Hamilton Creek to reduce its threat to water supplies and fire risks in the Rogue Valley; local residents are urged to report any sightings immediately.
