- ➤ Central Point hosted its annual Veterans Day Commemoration at the Don Jones Oregon Fallen War Heroes Memorial—city officials including Parks and Public Works Director Matt Samitore and State Representative Alek Skarlatos praised veterans for their service and honored six veterans with tribute trees as part of the Heroes Grove. The city plans to add two more trees in the spring to expand the memorial area. KOBI-TV
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Southern Oregon University's Small Business Development Center will close at the end of December after serving local businesses for 41 years. The center, which helped over 11,000 clients, did not secure state funding after its joint proposal with Rogue Community College was rejected — ending its long-time support for the Rogue Valley. - ➤ The Pollinator Project Rogue Valley is working to transform a gravel lot in Phoenix into an educational space that will include a butterfly house — a nursery and classroom to teach locals about saving pollinators. The group is coordinating with city officials and will hold meetings to advance the project while calling on community support. KDRV

- ➤ Medford Police are sharing how officers manage stress and mental health (as part of the Tomorrow Needs You series) to handle more crisis calls in the Rogue Valley. Sgt.
