- ➤ U Cut Tree Farm in Medford marked its 40th year when it opened for the 2025 Christmas season on Friday. The family-owned farm (located on Camp Baker Road) offered families affordable trees with free seasonal touches while planning sustainably by limiting cuts to about 1,000 trees each season. KOBI-TV
- ➤ A cat has been stuck about 75 feet up a tree in Talent since Tuesday and rescue crews have still not reached the pet. A local volunteer climbed the tree on Friday and plans to try again today while the owner searches for more help—rescuers are considering using a cherry picker. KDRV
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Today the Southern Oregon Historical Society hosts its annual wreath-making event at Hanley Farm in Central Point from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.—participants can buy $20 kits with farm-grown vines, berries, and plants, and Santa will be on site with his big red truck for holiday photos. KOBI-TV
- ➤ Over 180 singers from four choirs will take the stage at the Craterian Theater downtown Medford for the Rogue Valley Choral Association’s 3rd annual Home for the Holidays: Songs for the Season presentation—set for December 6 and December 7 at 3:00 p.m.—with tickets costing $25 for adults and $10 for kids. - ➤ Gianaclis Caldwell held a book signing at Oregon Books and Games on November 15 — a local reporter then sat down with her over coffee to learn about her creative process and upcoming work. Rogue River Press
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ AllCare Health has given over $240,000 to food banks and 12 community partners in Jackson, Josephine, Curry and Douglas counties to fight hunger in our area. The donation comes as demand grows for food assistance with families in need. KOBI-TV
