BLM reopened Lower Table Rock Trail and Oak Savannah ADA Loop Trail Friday after finishing the first phase of improvements for wheelchair accessibility near town — grading, draining, and a gravel base layer were completed.

The trails will close again in late spring to install the final asphalt surface.

Around 37,000 Oregonians must complete 80 hours of work, training, or volunteer service per month to retain their SNAP benefits, officials said.

The new work rules (effective Dec. 1) remove some prior exemptions but still allow Tribal members to remain eligible, with benefits at risk by April.
