The Salvation Army started its annual Angel Tree Christmas Distribution on Friday at a Stevens Road warehouse in Medford, giving gifts to about 703 families (1,800 children) with waitlisted families set to receive gifts Monday.

ACCESS will host a holiday food and fund drive at Greystone Court starting Sunday through Christmas Eve, inviting community donations of non-perishable foods and cash to support local food pantries.

A Santa stop is planned nightly from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. along with free hot chocolate on Sunday.

Mt. Ashland Ski Area announced that a routine inspection found the Windsor Chairlift’s key parts have reached their service life, and officials plan to replace it in 2026 while matching donations (up to $150,000) support the project.

Ashland Middle School students volunteered at SoHumane on Thursday, donating nearly $2,000 raised through their Doggy Dollar Drive and making cat toys for animals at the shelter.
