- ➤ First United Methodist Church served a free home-cooked meal to about 120 community members on Christmas Eve at its Medford location. Volunteers, including Boy Scout Troop 7, helped prepare the meal and continue a 12-year tradition that supports those facing homelessness. KDRV
- ➤ The annual Greystone Court Holiday Food and Funds Drive is underway in East Medford as homes on Greystone Court and Cherry Lane shine with festive lights. Visitors can drive or walk by and bring non-perishable food and donations for ACCESS programs from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. today and tomorrow. KOBI-TV
- ➤ The Medford Police Department nominated eight local families facing hardship this holiday season and organized wishlists for children, with city employees volunteering to shop for toys and gift cards. The police association also contributed $2,000 to help cover extra needs and brighten these families’ celebrations. KOBI-TV
- ➤ The Medford Police Department shared a holiday video on Dec. 24 showing K9 Bruno in a viral wrapping paper trend. The playful post — featuring festive puns — confirmed no officers were hurt while spreading cheer on social media. KOBI-TV
- ➤ St. Vincent De Paul in Medford is hosting a free Christmas meal today from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., while across the valley Ashland Library will offer a Community Peace Meal at 3:30 p.m. and serve as a warming center from 7:30 a.m. until dark. KOBI-TV
- ➤ Hearts and Carts, a holiday food giveaway event hosted by local food trucks at the corner of Barlett Street and 4th, offered free food and drinks, live music, a cookie decorating station, and a visit from Santa (and Mrs. Claus) to brighten the community this season. KOBI-TV
