- ➤ Five local organizations (CASA, Youth 71Five Ministries, Rogue Valley Mentoring, Reclaiming Lives, and Southern Oregon Humane Society) received $2,500 each from the Medford Police Association, whose members donated directly to support vital community work. KOBI-TV
- ➤ Today, the Medford Oregon Chess Club held its monthly tournament at the Phoenix Branch Library. About a dozen players competed for bragging rights and to boost their US Chess Foundation ratings, and the club will host its next contest on Jan. 24 at Rogue Valley Mall for non-members. KOBI-TV
