- ➤ The City of Medford invites residents to volunteer for the Adopt-A-Block program at historic Eastwood Cemetery starting in 2026. Volunteers will care for 12 to 16 graves for 30 minutes a month by pulling weeds, raking leaves, and cleaning headstones. KOBI-TV
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Oregon Department of Emergency Management’s SPIRE program provided new Holmatro hydraulic vehicle extrication tools to the Jacksonville Fire Department to boost rescue capabilities. Fire Chief Wayne Painter (of Jacksonville Fire) said the equipment will reduce rescue times and improve response during roadway incidents. KDRV
- ➤ Jackson County Sheriff's Office and other local agencies will host a virtual ride-along of a DUII enforcement patrol on New Year's Eve starting at 8 p.m. Photos and videos from the ride will be posted on social media after stops are completed. KDRV
