  • Medford's largest hotel—a full-service property on over five acres near the North Medford Interchange—has been listed for sale at $14 million. The four-story building offers 203 rooms, meeting facilities, a restaurant, an indoor pool, and a local shuttle service, and will continue operating during any change in ownership.  MedfordAlert

CRIME NEWS

  • A Medford man, 33-year-old Anthony James Grant, was arrested on March 3 for second degree sodomy and four counts of first degree sexual abuse — he was indicted by a grand jury.  KOBI-TV

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Medford School District communications director Natalie Hurd was named the Oregon School Public Relations Association’s School Communicator of the Year for 2024-25 at a conference in Silverton—recognizing her strong leadership in school communications.  MedfordAlert

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Today, the Rogue River Trail and Rainie Falls Trail reopened after landslides from last month's heavy rainfall with BLM's veteran fire crew—Crew 10—clearing a path around the largest slide. BLM warns hikers that minor slides and hazards may still be present and to report any issues by calling 5416182200 while the road to Rogue River Ranch remains closed due to snow.  KDRV

HEALTH NEWS

  • A group of locals will begin a 157-mile rowing journey on the Rogue River on April 25 to raise funds for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy research—facing challenges like cold water and rapids on a nonstop 36-hour route from Lost Creek Lake Dam to Gold Beach. They already raised $100,000 and plan to collect sponsorships for each mile to meet an $800,000 goal by May 1.  KOBI-TV

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • Medford’s Planning Commission approved a new 73-lot housing subdivision called Skyview Estates on March 27—planned for the north side on 17.59 acres of undeveloped land along east Crater Lake Avenue, about 600 feet north of Coker Butte Road. The project will complete design plans and set up irrigation before home building starts in a few months.  KDRV

  • Single-game tickets are on sale for the Medford Rogues 2025 season, which features 43 home games — six of them with the team’s popular fireworks displays. Tickets start at $10 and kids five and under get in free while kids under 15 get free admission on Sundays and Tuesdays.  KOBI-TV
